About JUYS

The Jericho and Underhill Youth Soccer League serves all children in the community from Kindergarten through 6th grade regardless of ability. This instructional league is supported by volunteers who dedicate their time for the development of each individual, and strive to achieve a love of the game for all. We hope that as a parent, spectator and/or coach, you will work with us to support this philosophy.

JUYS PHILOSOPHY

Since this is a recreational league, the focus remains on skill development at all levels, thus equal play time for all players is encouraged. Although we understand that all children “play to win” and will keep track of the score, we do not keep team standings, and encourage coaches to keep that in mind as they encourage their players.  If your child would benefit from a more competitive experience, we suggest that you pursue other soccer clubs in the area such as Far Post and Nordic, however we do believe that at this age, the league will offer your child an opportunity to build upon his/her own play and perhaps develop new skills in the area of leadership and team building. This league is a separate league from the spring BRMS league, which is also a more competitive league that allows children to travel and play against other towns. Visit our resource links for information available about other soccer opportunities.
